These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FollowBot ("the App"), a Slack application for task tracking and reminders, and the website followbot.app ("the Site"), operated by FollowBot ("we", "us", or "our").
By installing FollowBot in your Slack workspace or using the Site, you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are installing FollowBot on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
FollowBot is a Slack application that allows teams to create, track, assign, and receive reminders for tasks directly within Slack by reacting to messages with the ✅ emoji. The App requires a Slack workspace and a valid Slack account to function. FollowBot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Slack Technologies, LLC.
You must be at least 16 years old to use FollowBot. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have full legal authority to accept these Terms, either on your own behalf or on behalf of an organization.
FollowBot offers a 3-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start a trial.
After the free trial expires, continued use of premium features requires a paid subscription ("Pro Plan"). The current pricing is displayed at followbot.app/#pricing.
You may use FollowBot solely for lawful business productivity purposes within your Slack workspace. You agree not to:
Your use of FollowBot is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of FollowBot and the data you input complies with your organization's internal data governance policies and applicable privacy laws.
The Slack workspace administrator who installs FollowBot is responsible for:
We strive to maintain high availability of FollowBot but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.
FollowBot, including its name, logo, design, and source code, is the intellectual property of FollowBot and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose.
You retain ownership of any content you input into FollowBot (task descriptions, settings). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the service.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD IF NO PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE.
Either party may terminate the use of FollowBot at any time:
Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via a Slack message to the workspace where FollowBot is installed and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of FollowBot shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at [email protected]. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FollowBot regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
